“Teen POE-etry Night” Date: Thursday, April 16 Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Location: Forsyth County Public Library, Sharon Forks Branch Middle- and High-Schoolers are invited to an open-microphone event to celebrate Edgar Allan Poe’s work AND National Poetry Month. Bring your own poetry to read, or poems by your favorite author. Poe poetry, and original poems based on Poe’s works, are especially welcome. Light refreshments will be served. **** “Forsyth Reads Together Book Discussion: Friend or Poe?” Discuss works of Edgar Allan Poe, using Great Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe or your favorite Poe collection. Name your most memorable story or poem: “The Raven,” “The Cask of Amontillado,” “The Black Cat,” “Annabel Lee”? A reading group discussion is a wonderful way to meet new people, share interests, ideas, and opinions, and explore books you might otherwise never read! The library provides a facilitator to get your discussion started.
